Join us at Belfast Cathedral for a series of conversations around traditional bible stories inviting participants to dialogue across difference.

In many circles we hear of the word “belief” or the verb “believe” as an imperative: believe in this doctrine, or believe in the right things. What does it mean to have an interpersonal practice of the word belief? What does it mean to believe each other? What does it mean to be believed? Or, to put it in another way, what is it like when you are not believed? 

This afternoon session of Theology in the City will take the text of Jesus’ interactions with people in the temple when he was 12, and consider what it is that children know, and what it means to share belief with each other in a way that deepens our deepest intuitions. 

Free to attend, each session will begin with Eucharist at 12 noon.

A sandwich lunch will be available from 12.30pm and the conversations will begin at 1.00pm finishing promptly at 2.00pm allowing people to return to work.
